FIVE FABULOUS YEARS!

Andy and I celebrated our 5th anniversary this last Friday. We had a quiet dinner out to a wonderful restaurant in Salado and then headed home to watch our wedding video. We look like kids...getting married! Awwwwww.... tear.... I can't believe it has been five years since we entered wedded bliss! I'll spare you the sappy LOVE talk but I will say, I have the most amazing, caring, thoughtful husband who also just happens to be the best daddy EVER! We are so blessed! Love you babe!!!!
Anyway, Saturday we headed to Ft. Worth for a quick visit with my grandparents then to a birthday party for Landri and then to Scott and Liz's house in Lewisville. Now... most people might go on some sort of romantic getaway for their anniversary and I suppose we did... It just happened to be at Hotel de Payne in Lewisville, Texas AND it included OPENING DAY for the TEXAS RANGERS! You might be wondering why we chose to go to a baseball game for our anniversary... well, our first date was to a Rangers game and we have since been back several times :) I don't really care to watch baseball on TV but I LOVE to go to the games. This was my first time to go to opening day. I was with some hard core baseball/sports fans so I will say I was a "trooper" on Monday. We got up around 7:00 and left at 8AM to head to the game. We tailgated before the game and AGAIN after the game! This was also my first time to tail gate! Andy and Scott did it up big with their now famous bacon cheddar jalapeno burgers! It was great! It was also FREEZING and incredibly WINDY but still, GREAT! Here are the pics...
Me and Andy & Scott and Liz
The famous burgers... maybe we should have taken a picture after they were cooked ;) Sorry! They still look good, don't they!?

The Cowboys' new stadium is next door to the ball park. CAN'T WAIT! It looks AWESOME!

Welcome Addison Hope Fruge

We recently helped host a baby shower for our dear friends, Andy and Amanda Fruge. Andy and Amanda welcomed Addison Hope on Friday, March 20th. We couldn't be happier for them and we just can't wait to meet her!!!! Here are a few pics from the shower...
Owen Really enjoyed the cupcakes :)

The Faske kids and the Stewart kids were the best of friends by the time we left, they were so cute and SO entertaining! Erin and Jordan put on an amazing Hannah Montana concert for us ;)

Once again, Parker can sleep anywhere! Isn't he just precious!

Sarah's Book Club

As most of you know, I recently started a book club after reading the Twilight saga. Since finishing that series, I have not found the time to read. I don't know how I ever read all of those books! We recently went on a little trip (another blog to follow on that subject) and I was more excited about having time to read than I really was about the trip ;) Can you tell I don't have much free time?! Anyway, the next official book to add to the book club is Same Kind of Different As Me, by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. It is a true story written by a man from Fort Worth. It is an amazing testimony of faith and it will leave you looking for the good in everyone you meet. Very inspiring! It's a quick, easy read... my kind of book ;)

Nothing Runs Like A Deere

We took Owen out to Andy's parent's place last weekend. We wanted to give him some time to drive the Gator and see the cows again. It wasn't long before he discovered Grandaddy's tractor and decided he was ready for the big boy toys ;)

Owen LOVES To Read

Have I mentioned Owen LOVES to read? There are many times that I suddenly realize it is too quiet in the house so I go looking for Owen and this is what I often find:

Owen sitting quietly with all his books pulled out and he is just flipping through the pages. He also loves to be read to. One of his favorites: Jolly Barn Yard. He definitely loves the classic Golden Books. :)

Green River Ordinance- Out Of My Hands

I think most of you know that two of my cousins are aspiring singers/rock stars ;) My cousin Matt lives in Nashville and is an amzing country singer/song writer. He had the honor of singing at the Grand Ole Opry a few years ago we were lucky enought to get to go! :) If you were at our wedding he sang our first dance song at our reception.

My cousin Josh is a lead singer for an alternative band called Green River Ordinance. They are great!! Many of you have gone with us to their shows! Green River Ordinance signed with Capitol records last year and they have been working diligently on their album and touring around the USA. I am proud to anounce that their album is being released on February 24th and it is now available for pre-sale at www.myspace.com/gro Please help them reach their pre-sale goal of 2,000 albums! (I bought two) ;) Their single, "Come On", is available now for download on itunes! Thanks for your support! You won't be dissapointed!!! :)
